Your first visit
Your first visit will take up to an hour.  Your chiropractor will take details of your complaint.  You will also be asked about your medical history and that of your direct relatives (grandparents, parents, sibling and children).  This will enable a full picture of your health to be determined.  An appropriate physical examination will then be carried out and if you are required to remove clothing, you will be given the privacy to do this and provided with a hospital style gown.  You will never be asked to remove any underwear.  Once your diagnosis has been explained to you, a bespoke programme of treatment will be recommended.  The reasons for this will be outlined but will be based mainly on the length of time you have had your problem, the severity of your complaint, your age and general health state.  Other treatment options may also be discussed.  If you are happy to proceed your path to recovery can begin.  The techniques used will also be described in detail.  Questions from you are always encouraged.

Heather Foster BSc (Hons) PGDip MChiro LRCC

After a series of events in my mid-twenties including a relatively minor car accident, a painful fairground ride and poor working posture, I experienced chronic lower back, neck and chest pain.  After seeing several different physiotherapists and exhausting all the options that the NHS was able to provide, in desperation I went to a chiropractor.  This for me was a life changing experience! Following the huge relief that came with the care I was given I regained my quality of life and I was inspired to help others in the same way.

I graduated with a Masters in Chiropractic (MChiro) degree from the prestigious Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth.  I am a Licentiate member of The Royal College of Chiropractors, a member of The British Chiropractic Association and registered with the General Chiropractic Council.  I also have a BSc. Microbiology (Medical) and a PGDip Biomedical Science.

I love being able to help patients of all ages with all sorts of different problems.  Lifelong learning is very important to me and I have undertaken extra courses in pregnancy related and paediatric conditions, dry needling (western acupuncture) and myofascial release techniques, to name but a few.

My spare time is dedicated to family life and pilot gig rowing with a local club.
